Tahoe Blue Pottery is planning to open a community pottery studio early 2025. The space will provide classes, open studio time, and a retail gallery space for beginners as well as working professionals.

What will this community studio offer?

    • One-time beginner class

    • 2 hours

    • Clay and tools provided

    • No experience necessary

    • $75

    • Once a week for 4 weeks; 2.5 hour classes

    • No experience neccasary

    • Students will need their own clay and tools, which will be sold at the studio if needed

    • teaches the fundamentals of throwing on the potter’s wheel

    • Intermidiate and advanced students are welcome

    • $220

    • Access to all studio equiptment, glazes, and firings included

    • Must take a 4 -week class first unless you already have experience with clay

    • $150 per month

  • Studio members can sell their work in the retail gallery

  • No! All levels are welcome from first timers to experienced artists looking for studio space and a place to sell their work. Most classes are designed for beginners, but the instructor will work with more advanced students during class time when time permits.

  • Yes! Studio members can even sell their work in the gallery. Members will have full access to the studio during studio hours.

  • Yes! Anything sold in the gallery will be subject to 30% sales cost to help keep the studio operating.

  • It will be located in Truckee, CA. A location has been selected and will be announced when the lease has been signed.

  • January - Febuary 2025 depending on community support. Help spread the word to speed up the opening date!
